What actually happened

After Argentina's 1955 military coup, Eva Peron's embalmed body was removed, hidden and eventually buried in Italy before returning to Argentina.

The history

Buenos Aires opened its first public cemetery here in 1822. Its elaborate mausoleums hold presidents, writers and Eva Perón; more than 90 vaults are national monuments.

What people report

The cemetery's official guides preserve stories including Rufina Cambaceres and the White Lady while identifying them as legends and curiosities.

That paragraph is reported tradition, not a claim about what is there. The history above it is sourced; the stories are recorded because people tell them.
