Takedown and complaints

Flinchd publishes only original work, but we take every complaint seriously. This page explains how to tell us about a problem and what we will do about it.

1. Copyright or other rights complaints

If you believe that content on Flinchd infringes your copyright, trade mark or other rights, send a notice to info@augeastechnologies.com with the subject line "Rights notice" containing:

1. your name, postal address, email address and, if you act for someone else, whom you represent;
2. the exact web address (URL) of the content on Flinchd you are complaining about;
3. a description of the work you believe has been infringed, with a link or copy where possible;
4. a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the rights owner, its agent, or the law;
5. a statement, under penalty of perjury where that applies to you, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the rights owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf;
6. your physical or electronic signature.

We will acknowledge your notice within two working days. Where a notice is complete and the complaint appears well-founded, we will remove or disable access to the content promptly, usually within five working days, while we investigate. We may contact you for more information. We may also restore content if we conclude, after investigation, that it does not infringe.

We may publish anonymised summaries of notices received.

2. Content and rating complaints

If you believe a story is mis-rated, unsuitable for its stated audience, contains a factual error about a real person or organisation, or is otherwise objectionable, email info@augeastechnologies.com with the subject line "Content complaint", the story's URL, and a description of the concern. Rating complaints are reviewed within two working days and the rating is adjusted where appropriate.

3. Privacy complaints

If you believe Flinchd holds personal information about you, or you wish to exercise a privacy right, email info@augeastechnologies.com with the subject line "Privacy". See the Privacy Policy.

4. Advertising complaints

If an advertisement shown on Flinchd was inappropriate or misleading, email info@augeastechnologies.com with the subject line "Advertising complaint", the page URL, the time, and a screenshot if you have one. We will block the advertiser where our ad partner allows it and report the matter to the partner.
