Scotland Reported haunting level 5 of 5

What actually happened
In the plague of 1645 the close was tended by plague doctor George Rae and the Foul Clengers led by Walter King, who cleared infected homes.
The history
The close runs beneath Edinburgh's Royal Mile. Its last resident, sawmaker Andrew Chesney, left in 1897 when the Royal Exchange expanded over it.
What people report
The attraction tells of Annie, a child spirit a Japanese psychic reported in the 1990s in a room off Allan's Close; visitors still leave dolls and toys for her.
That paragraph is reported tradition, not a claim about what is there. The history above it is sourced; the stories are recorded because people tell them.
